Coaching
Our primary role as a Sales Manager is to hit our targets of course. But we do that by developing our team members and turning them into better salespeople. Don’t “hope” your salespeople figure it out and don’t assume they know what they are doing. Make sure you know what they are doing and how well they are doing it. Are they doing what they are supposed to be doing? Coaching and training is your primary responsibility. Reporting, working with marketing, and anything else is of secondary importance.
